Increased inclusion of LGBTQ+ participants in sports
Participants, including youth, educators, and sports professionals, will gain practical tools to address discrimination, implement inclusive practices, and advocate for safer sports environments.
Empowered LGBTQ+ young athletes:
Mentorship training and hands-on experience mentoring sports professionals, educators, and youth workers promotes leadership, inclusion and creative collaboration among participants.
LGBTQ+ youth and allies network:
The peer-mentoring and collaborative creation labs set the foundation to build a network where leadership and confidence is fostered. Additionally, the final event of this project will strengthen connections with policymakers, educators, advocacy groups, and organizations. Ongoing support and long-term impact beyond the project’s duration will be ensured.
Developed Inclusion Toolkit:
A long-term online resource designed to help sports organizations, educators, and policymakers create safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments for the LGBTQ+ community. The tool will be developed collaboratively, featuring modular training materials, best practices, case studies, and practical strategies for implementing inclusive policies, anti-discrimination measures, and gender-neutral facilities.
