Asociación Deportiva Cierzo proLGTB+ is an inclusive sports organization based in Zaragoza, Spain, founded in 2017 and recognized as the first federated LGTB+ sports club in Aragón. Through sport, Cierzo promotes equality, diversity and non-discrimination by creating safe spaces where LGBTIQ+ people and allies can train, compete and participate regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, age or sporting level.
Today, the organization develops activities in volleyball, futsal, basketball, padel, beach volleyball and other recreational sports, combining physical activity with community building, visibility and social activism. Cierzo also organizes the Juegos del Cierzo, one of Spain’s leading inclusive sports events, gathering hundreds of athletes from more than 20 nationalities every year.
